WE ARE LAYING THE GROUNDWORK FOR SMART URBAN GROWTH. Upper Westside Improvement District works to enhance the transportation network, connectivity, safety, and experience for all through investment of funds and investment in community partnerships.

A Community Improvement District (CID)

We are a Community Improvement District (CID), which is a special governmental entity formed by local commercial property owners. There are around 25 CIDs in Metro Atlanta, including Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown. Property owners in the CID fund the CID and are able to spend the money on infrastructure improvements, beautification and public safety. A CID is the best tool available to property owners trying to keep their corner of Atlanta competitive in the region.

CIDs are collaborative. We leverage our funds through partnerships with other entities such as the City of Atlanta, Renew Atlanta, the Department of Public Works, and the Georgia Department of Transportation to attract additional infrastructure investment to the District.
