The Upper Westside Improvement District is installing new trashcans up and down the corridor, focusing on the MARTA bus stops along Howell Mill.

In addition to working to relieve traffic in the corridor and improve accessibility, the UWID is committed to providing a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for everyone—whether that is biking, walking, driving, or taking the bus. “Cleaning up the roadsides is an important first step in showing the property owners that the CID is doing its job of taking care of the corridor,” said Quill Healey, the Vice Chairman of the UWID.
Russell Landscape is responsible for emptying the trashcans on a bi-weekly basis in addition to their work cleaning up the curbs, sidewalks, and clearing the right of way of weeds, brush, and debris.
