Construction is blooming this Spring as 2026 proves itself to be one of our biggest project delivery years to date! We’re aiming to become one of Atlanta’s most walkable and bikeable areas.

10th Street Cycle Track

📍 Location: 10th Street (Brady Ave NW & Northside Dr NW)

We’ve been quietly working on the 10th Street Cycle Track since 2022. The saying “good things come to those who wait” seems on-brand here! The project spans from Brady Avenue to Northside Drive along 10th Street, bringing a protected on-street two-way bike lane connecting the Brady Cycle Track to Georgia Tech’s campus across one of the District’s busiest intersections. As a part of this project, we’ve also resurfaced the janky Brady & 10th intersection and refreshed the painted crosswalks.

This project is cofunded by the Upper Westside CID and the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood and should be complete by the World Cup.

17th Street Sidewalk

📍 Location: 17th Street between Howell Mill Rd and Northside Dr

One of our most requested connections is finally under construction! We know you’ve been wanting to safely walk to The Hill, Waterworks Greenspace, and Atlantic Station along 17th Street.

This sidewalk on the north side of the street will double as a shared-use path providing a safe space for cyclists off the street. The project also includes adding pedestrian scale lighting along the new sidewalk to make sure you feel safe day or night.

This project is funded by the City of Atlanta’s Moving Atlanta Forward program and implemented by the Upper Westside CID and should be complete by May 2026.

Greener Days Ahead

Community members rolled up their sleeves alongside Trees Atlanta for a volunteer planting outside the Myers Flooring showroom. Thank you to everyone who helped expand and strengthen the district’s tree canopy.

A heartfelt thank you to Myers Flooring of Atlanta for hosting and opening their property’s greenspace to make this canopy expansion possible.

And we’re not stopping there. Thanks to our joint advocacy with Councilmember Hillis, the (not so) new Howell Mill Road medians will finally be planted — including at the I-75 interchange and near Star Metals and The Interlock.

Stay tuned for progress updates — and some very satisfying before-and-after transformations.

Docked Bikeshare Making a Comeback?

Atlanta is studying a docked bikeshare program and community input will help decide where future hubs land.

  • Want easier access to transit?
  • More bike options near home or work?
  • Less parking friction?

Take the survey and drop a location pin for where you’d love to see a bikeshare station in the district.

The future of neighborhood mobility is being mapped right now.
