On Sunday, October 5th, our signature free block party, Westside Stride, is back! The annual celebration brings together neighbors, local businesses, and families for a day of movement, music, and connection along Howell Mill.

Whether this is your third Stride or your very first, you’re in for a treat as we continue to grow it into one of the biggest events in the Upper Westside.

Event Highlights

📅 When: Sunday, October 5 | 12–6 PM
đź“Ť Where: Howell Mill Road (between 17th Street and 8th Street)
🛵 Getting Here: We strongly encourage walking, biking, or taking MARTA (check the site for reroutes).

  • Bike Valet: Complimentary valet at Westside Provisions District.
  • Driving: $10 flat-rate all-day parking at Star Metals, Westside Provisions, Stockyards, and Brickworks.
  • Scooters & E-Bikes: Please park in designated zones at major intersections.

Activities to Expect:

  • Five live music zones (see schedule here)
  • Atlanta Fire Department’s Touch-a-Truck (with inflatable!) | 2–4 PM
  • Petting zoo, pumpkin patch, and pony rides (Howell Mill & Huff)
  • Vendor market featuring 85+ local makers
  • Discover neighborhood businesses with our event map

One of the best parts of Westside Stride is experiencing the Upper Westside’s culinary scene all in one place. This year’s lineup includes a mix of neighborhood institutions and exciting newcomers:

  • Miller Union – James Beard Award–winning, seasonal Southern fare
  • Cooks & Soldiers – Basque-inspired pintxos and wood-grilled specialties
  • Little Sparrow – French technique meets modern American flair
  • The Chai Box – Sneak peek of the first chai cafĂ© opening soon on Howell Mill
