As the year winds down, the Upper Westside is buzzing with movement—new connections taking shape, fresh businesses opening, and infrastructure milestones coming to life. Here’s what’s happening this month:

Collier & Emery Intersection Near Completion
We know road closures during the holidays are inconvenient! Good news is we’re on-schedule to complete the Collier & Emery intersection safety improvements. The goal of this project was to add ADA ramps, reduce the intersection crossing distance, and address the sidewalk gaps on the south-side of Collier Road along Emery Street. Once complete, the intersection will make walking and driving safer, just in time for the holidays.
Now Open: Carbon Performance at Westside Paper
The Upper Westside’s newest fitness destination, Carbon Performance, has opened at Westside Paper. With modern design and state-of-the-art equipment, it’s poised to be one of the largest gyms in the district.
