Here’s what’s happening in the Upper Westside

Have a Say in the Future of Collier Road

Back in October 2024, we launched the Collier Road Multimodal Study thanks to a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission. The goal? To identify improvements along Collier Road—from Northside Drive to Chattahoochee Avenue—that make it safer for everyone.

After months of detailed community input, the POND design team has drafted two concepts for Collier Road improvements:

  • One primarily on the north side of the street
  • The other primarily on the south side

Now we need your feedback. Take the survey here to let us know which concept should move forward.

Curious about what happens once votes are tallied? We’ll advance the community’s preferred concept to a 30% concept—early engineering plans detailed enough to generate a cost estimate. From there, additional funding and approvals will be needed before construction. While this study is just the first step, it’s an important one in creating community and city buy-in for safer, multimodal improvements on Collier Road.

Coming Soon: A Safer Crossing at Howell Mill & The District

Keep your eyes peeled: the long-awaited pedestrian signal at Howell Mill & The District is almost ready. With construction wrapped up, all that’s left is the final inspection. Once the light turns on, we’ll be celebrating another milestone in mobility for the Upper Westside.
